And by that I mean splitting episodes into two and suffixing each part with a letter, as they are wont to do.  Although technically speaking, I recorded both halves at separate times so I probably could have gotten away with calling this a new episode, that is, if it weren't for those meddling kids ....

News
Funimation streaming anime again.  But not One Piece yet, so the news story in my last episode is still relevant.

New Hajime no Ippo anime on the way.  Heck yeah!

Tatsunoko vs Capcom - One Character To Be Dropped Due to Licensing.  But it's not Gold Lightan, so we're good for now, Internet

This is the guy that's being dropped:

Admit it, knowing you can't play as him makes you want to all the more.

SPACE WEDDING - Well, Zero-G, which is just as weightless.

Spring Anime Preview Part 2

Basquash
Cars that play basketball.  Crazy, I say!  Crazy!

If you want to torture your ears, check out Pun-Colle.  Punk songs by Japanese voice actresses.  It's as scary as it sounds.

Also be sure to check out their take on Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.  For a better cover of the song, check out the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain.

Restaurant Paradiso
If this show is correct, then due to my graying hair and glasses, I should be irresistable to a significant segment of the female population (in Italy, anyway).  So yeah, feel free to throw yourselves at me ladies.

Cross Game
This show gets a little sad, but remember, there's no crying in baseball!

Valkyria Chronicles
Based on the Game (and probably manga) of the same name.  Like I've said before, it's next on my queue.

This is what the game looks like:

Review - Mirror's Edge

Warning: Playing this game will not make you good at parkour.  You'd also need the same shoes that Faith wears in the game.  Possibly white pants too, but not after Labour Day.

Promotional consideration given to:
The Ninja Consultants Podcast (Hey, like from the tv.  Of course, the show jumped the shark when the hosts got married)
Anime Genesis (the anime podcast equivalent of FIRST!)
Anime World Order (following their nomeclature will guarantee that I never reach episode 100 -- as if that was a concern before.  Now if I could also copy their consistently high level of quality, I'd be set).

Like Saturday Morning Cartoons, I finally have enough episodes to be syndicated. And all it took me was three years. If only I had action figures to sell. That would be glorious.

Local News

Look forward to a "very special" episode of UAP where guest Jake the Root Beer King  will say no to drugs and I'll learn what is ok and what is not okay to put in my mouth. Dane, if you're reading this, whatever you are thinking of, that is NOT okay to put in your mouth.

This special episode will be powered with the power of the Three Wolf Moon shirt.

If the reviews aren't enough to convince you, this educational video should:

Also, here's some Histori.ca love:
A Part of Our Heritage - Signal Hill, NFLD

News

Episode of One Piece illegally copied from Funimation's servers before it was set to stream for free legally.  - No one better be streaming this podcast for free, I'll tell you what.

Director of Basquash canned - I'm not prepared to rule out the possibility of a chaos dunk here.

New iPhone - iPhone 3GS - That's pretty good, but I'm waiting for the eventual iPhone 3GS-US.  Just think of the savings.

New Futurama! Woot! - There will be 26 new episodes, but to be fair, 25 of those will be pure Hypnotoad.  You need to watch all of that to fully appreciate it.

Surge in Valkryia Chronicles sales - Seriously, go buy this game.

Neat thingys of the episode

Natsu no Arashi! - G-g-g-ghosts!

Dragonball : Evolution

Yes, it is as good as it looks!

Promos and stuff
RPGLamer - Jake, release another episode already!  With E3 coming up, I need to know which RPGs to focus on.  So far, I'm leaning towards Tales of Vesperia, White Knight Chronicles, and FFXIII for the PS3.

Spiraken Manga Review - with the WHEEL OF MANGA.  I was a little disappointed to find out it's not about a wheel comprised of various volumes of manga that grows ala Katamari Damacy and crushes all who stands in its way, but it's pretty darn good, nonetheless.

Fightbait Anime/Videogame podcast -  It's like the pie.  From American Pie.  It leaves you warm, sticky and satisfied but slightly embarrassed afterwards.

The song played was Things are looking up by American Heartbreak

Oh yeah, here's the hagfish video I promised:

For this episode I decided to record a homage (read: blatantly rip off) of the I Luv the 80s podcast by doing my own 80s related show, because it's the smurfy thing to do.

Watch the video below for more information on the Smurfs and Smurfs related video games of the 80.

Smurfs: Rescue In Gargamel's Castle.  This game is unanimously considered to be the best video game of all time by game historians.

So I dusted off an old recording from when I was still in diapers and play it for you to listen to with your ears.  Apparently, I reviewed Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, which was totally excellent and righteous.

I talk about some news stories but I have misplaced the links for some of them so I'll edit this post at a later date.

I also review an anime from the 80's that creeped the hell out of me, with a name that roughly translates to "The Lurking Horror".  Please don't click on the aforementioned link until you have heard the review and have properly prepared yourself, both mentally and spiritually, for the horror that awaits.  The review itself may be a little rambly and nonsensical, but that is only due to the psychological scars that the anime inflicted on me as a kid.  Rest assured, I will ensure that this cycle of forcing children to watch these cruel and frightening shows will continue with my nephkids when they are born (don't know the gender yet).  There's some other stuff in the podcast, but I kinda drifted in and out when recording so I can't recall off hand what it may be.

Oh yeah, I played a promo for the Hello Kitty Island Adventure podcast and one for myself.  Please note that some of the clips I included in my promo may have been taken slightly out of context.  Nevertheless, you should harass the podcasters that those said clips originated from.

So I also played the song King of Kong by Tvs Kyle.

If you want to contact me you can email me at upapaddle@gmail.com, go to http://upapaddle.com or even follow my twitter at http://twitter.com/upapaddle.

If you are feeling especially rambunctious, you can leave a review in the iTunes directory or even send me in content.  If you are looking to lower the standards of your own podcast (if you have one), contact me and I may be able to send you some content.

Oh yeah, the trivia question for this episode was "which movie had the phrase "His elevens are up" and what does it mean?  No fair using Google.

Thanks for listening!

This episode I review Flower, Noby Noby Boy, and ramble about Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.

News:
Blood: The Last Vampire Trailer

- I bet it'll suck. Ok, that was lame.  Moving on ...

Professor Layton: The First Movie
- This movie better be faithful to the game.  I fully expect at least one scene where Layton and his boy ward swap the furniture in their hotel rooms.

Gokusen: The Movie
- They really need to get a cameo with Great Teacher Onizuka in this, since they're pretty much the same show.  The same awesome show.

Dragon Ball Kai
- Dammit, they're cropping the picture to 16:9 again.  I was looking forward to this, too.

Cow Urine Soda
- suddenly Cucumber Pepsi doesn't sound so bad.

Items of interest:
Don't Sh*t your Pants
Man v Food
I can't help but think the two are somewhat related.

Reviews
Flower

See, I bet you're relaxed now.  I know I am.

Noby Noby Boy ("Taste the Rainbow")

Now I'm just confused.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li

Yes, keen observers, the above clip is not from the movie.  However, it is infinitely better than the movie and much more worth your time.
See Kristen Kreuk, those are Chun Li thighs!

The promos played were:
Eeeper's Choice (http://eeeperschoice.com)
Weeaboobies (http://bumbleberry.org)
Anime 82 (http://anime82.blogspot.com)

The songs played were:
Malcos - Reinterpretation (Ryu Stage) [1:50] - Mirror
Sixto Sounds - Made in U.S.A. (Ken Stage)
AE - Street Market (Chun-Li Stage)
José the Bronx Rican - Single Ladies, Clap Your Hands (Chun-Li Ending 2)
Big Giant Circles & Justin R. Coleman - Combat and Service (Guile Stage)
zircon - Flying Heaven (Fei Long Stage)
Malcos & Red Tailed Fox - Army Girl (Cammy Stage)
Neostorm - Sexy Trunks (Balrog Stage)
Malcos - Tribute to the Master (M. Bison Stage)

And all are available at OCRemix.org

You can email me at upapaddle@gmail.com or vist the site at http://upapaddle.com.  You can also check me out at http://twitter.com/upapaddle and find me lurking (and occasionally posting) at Fightbait Anime Podcast Forums.  Seriously, join the forums, they're good stuff.
